The Marantec Group and CEDES are teaming up in the field of IoT for doors and gates. The partnership will be presented to the public at the world's leading trade show R&T in Stuttgart (19 – 23.02.2024) and involves maveo, the proven IoT brand of the family-owned German company.
In this partnership, three pioneers in their respective disciplines come together: the Marantec Group as a specialist for drive and control technology, CEDES, a specialist in safety and sensor technology, and maveo as an IoT specialist in the field of drives for garage and industrial door systems within the Marantec Group.
CEDES, traditionally specialized in light barriers and optical sensors in the elevator and industrial door sector, has expanded its product range for industrial door safeguarding in recent years, taking over the door sensor specialist Vitector in order to build up know-how in this area. Today marks the official start of the cooperation with the Marantec Group in the direction of IoT.
The first step of the cooperation is the development of an IoT prototype that combines CEDES‘ know-how in sensor technology and data analysis with Marantec’s longstanding expertise in drive and control technology as well as in IoT. The project will be presented for the first time at the world's leading trade show R&T at the CEDES booth (Hall 8, Booth 8C48). This collaboration opens up numerous new application scenarios through the smart combination of existing technologies.
